Wondering what all the buzz is about Chat GPT? What it is and how to use it? Here is an explanation in a lay woman’s terms and most importantly some of the ways we can use it as artists.

I think as artists we want to get our work out there as we would like the sales to support our craft and maybe help us to feel more successful. Another motivation in showing our work is to make room for more paintings. I am constantly moving things around trying to find space for more art and wondering where the heck am I going to put these. And of course there comes the pressure of seeing other artists sell their work and wondering why you aren’t and though we are told not to compare it can also be quite motivating in its own way.

Ever feel like you are on a roller coaster struggling along to get to the top to enjoy a few moments of wind in your sail? Or maybe it’s like riding a bike. Sometimes you pray for a hill ahead just so you get the opportunity to coast down it, even if for just a few seconds.

Have you ever thought about being an artist? Do you long to paint or do something creative but something holds you back?

I didn’t grow up with art. I colored, I doodled but that was the extent of it. I was creative though. I made mud pies in the back yard, decorated them with stones and had bake sales trying to sell them. The true Capricorn that I am. In grown up life I had two creative careers. The first was as a Hairdresser and the second was in the Culinary Arts.

The desire to paint came late in life with an inner nudge.
